Woman cycles more than 2,000 km to return home

A woman who works in Beijing cycled more than 2,000 kilometers to return to her hometown in Nanchong, Sichuan province, for Spring Festival, West China Metropolis Daily reported on Tuesday.

Jia Yanmei, 26, started her bicycle trip on Jan 11 from Beijing with a man whose hometown is in Guangyuan, another city in Sichuan province, and reached her home on Jan 28. Jia reported her trip on her micro blog and her lively tales of the journey attracted many followers. "I was glad I could complete my trip and I thought it was a good experience for my future work and life," Jia said.
