A woman surnamed Huang sued an education center for failing to help her daughter recover from her Internet addiction, the Beijing Morning Post reported.
In October 2012, Huang's daughter Xiaowan was admitted to the education center. Huang paid a total of 24,000 yuan ($3,958) for her tuition and living expenses but Xiaowan repeatedly ran away from the center. Huang sued the center in Changping district court, asking for a full refund of the tuition and additional compensation. The court ruled that the center must refund Huang 8,000 yuan.
