Xi Jinping meets KMT honorary chairman

Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, met with Kuomintang Honorary Chairman Lien Chan in Beijing on Tuesday afternoon.

Also present at the meeting in the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse was a delegation from Taiwan, consisted of representatives from different walks of life.

Lien, also chairman of a foundation on cross-Strait peaceful development, is on a visit to Beijing from Monday to Thursday.
