The vice governor of South China's Hainan province Ji Wenlin is now under investigation for suspected serious violations of discipline and laws, the discipline watchdog of the Communist Party of China said on Tuesday.
Ji began to work as a government employee in 1989 in the former Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources.
He worked in several positions in the Sichuan government between 2000 and 2003 and later as deputy director of the general office of the Ministry of Public Security between 2005 and 2008. He was appointed vice-governor of Hainan in January 2013.
