A Chinese-made civil aircraft, Xinzhou 60, has been forced to delay its landing after its cockpit instruments showed the landing gear could not be properly deployed.
Its manufacturer, Xi'an Aircraft Industry Company, has confirmed that it was a signal system false alarm. The flight took off from Tianjin on Tuesday with 30 passengers onboard, and circled the air above China's Northeastern city of Shenyang for some 3 hours before finally making a safe landing.
The manufacturer has requested that all of its 60 aircraft suspend operation, while a team of experts is being sent to its customers both in China and overseas, to ensure the reliability of the aircraft.
