Kunming residents have held a vigil at the train station for the 29 victims. They prayed for the dead, as well as for justice and peace.
Order has been restored, but the hearts of people are hard to heal.
Many Kunming residents have spontaneously gathered at the railway station to hold a vigil for the victims.
This young man has been here for more than 6 hours, re-lighting candles time and again in the chilling midnight wind.
"I've been here for the whole evening. I think this activity is meaningful. We can commemorate and pray for the victims. I will stay here as long as possible," said a resident named Hou Dehai in Kunming.
The commemoration also struck a chord in the hearts of waiting passengers.
"I feel sorry for those victims, seeing so many young people commemorating them here. I hope this terrorist attack can be away from us so that people can live a safe, stable life," said a passenger at Kunming railway station.
More than 500 people have attended the vigil. They all wish for the same thing: that the dead rest in peace and the guilty be brought to justice.
