The Shuyang County People's Procuratorate in Jiangsu province has approved the arrest of six people suspected of trafficking drugs, jcrb.com, a website affiliated to the Procuratorial Daily, reported on Friday.
A woman surnamed Zhang, a native of Shuyang county, allegedly trafficked more than 500 grams of drugs from Guangzhou, the provincial capital of Guangdong province, and sold them in several cities in Jiangsu province since November 2013.
A person surnamed Qiao allegedly helped Zhang deliver the drugs, while another four bought drugs from Zhang and sold them at higher prices, the report said.
Zhang, a drug addict, served an 18-month jail sentence for illegal possession of drugs in Guangzhou in 2010.
The Shuyang police captured Zhang when she was trafficking drugs to Jiangsu on Jan 16 and found more than 1,000 grams of methamphetamine, known as "ice", in her car.
Police are still investigating the case.
