Guan Xiaoxiao, the daughter and the commercial agent of Mo Yan, the 2010 Nobel Prize winner for Literature, said she was consulting with lawyers on what action to take in response to the unaccredited posting of Mo's works on WeChat by users, chinaculture.net reported.
The WeChat account known as Chuchen Wenhua recently posted two pieces of Mo's short fiction without informing the writer or citing the publication sources.
Meanwhile, various scripts by famous playwrights, including Bai Xianyong (Kenneth Pai) and He Yiping were recently posted on the public WeChat account Huaju Silingbu. Like Guan, Bai has said that he is speaking with lawyers to determine how to deal with these unauthorized WeChat posts.
