Increased police patrols to prevent violent

Since March 2, Beijing police have strengthened their presence at public transport hubs such as subway stations, airports and railway stations to prevent violent and terrorist crimes. In subway stations, all object carried by passengers will be examined, and the frequency of police patrols has been intensified, the Beijing News reported.

Police at Capital Airport have all been equipped with wea-pons. Public places such as bus stations, schools, hospitals and shopping areas are also under increased police patrol.

Additionally, Beijing police are also cooperating with police in the surrounding cities to strengthen checks of suspicious vehicles arriving in Beijing at periphery checkpoints and arterial roads.
