Executive chairpersons of the presidium of China's annual parliamentary session met for the first time Saturday to review important documents.
Zhang Dejiang, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) and one of the executive chairpersons, presided over the meeting.
The executive chairpersons heard a report on how lawmakers thought about the government work report and what to be revised, as well as a draft resolution on the government work report.
They also reviewed reports on lawmakers' opinions about the national economic and social development plan and the central and local budgets, as well as draft resolutions on the two documents.
They decided to submit these documents to the second meeting of the presidium, to be held Sunday.
