East China police confirmed on Sunday that a Chinese from east China's Fujian Province, whose passport number G25****18 is on the boarding list offered by Malaysia Airlines, did not board the airline's missing plane.
However, police said the passport owner's name does not match the name provided by Malaysia Airlines. The owner of the passport is still in Fujian and has no departure records, according to police.
The owner said the passport has never been lost or stolen.
