Fifty-seven positions offered during this year's local civil servants recruitment test received no applicants, a public service training institution said Saturday as the application process ends Friday.

The unfilled positions were mostly in rural areas. Many had high requirements. One post in Jinshan, for example, required swimming skills and knowledge of the local dialect.

The most popular position was in a subdistrict office in Changning district, which received 66 applicants.
