No other stolen IDs used to board missing plane: Chinese ministry

The Ministry of Public Security said that aside from two passengers reported earlier to have used stolen European passports, no others on the missing Malaysian plane used false passports to board.  [Special coverage]

The ministry said the information was confirmed after Interpol examined and matched the identity information of all foreign passengers on board with its lost ID database.

A work team sent by the ministry is currently cooperating with the Malaysian side to jointly investigate the stolen ID case in Malaysia.

Contact with Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 was lost along with its radar signal at 1:20 a.m. Beijing time on Saturday as it was flying over the Ho Chi Minh City air traffic control area in Vietnam.

The flight was carrying 12 crew members and 227 passengers, including more than 150 Chinese.

A large-scale search conducted by multiple countries has found no sign of the plane so far.
