Malaysian police visit home of missing plane's captain

Malaysian police on Saturday were seen arriving at the home of the captain of the missing Malaysian Airlines jetliner in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia's state news agency Bernama reported.  [Special coverage]

It said three plain clothed police personnel arrived at the home of Zaharie Ahmad Shah, the pilot's of the vanished flight MH370, at about 2:42 pm, claiming they were from Bukit Aman police headquarters before getting into the residence.

They were believed to have carried out a search at the captain' s house before leaving the place at around 4:46 pm.

The report said the police will give an official statement on the inspection of the pilot's house at a media conference Sunday. "I cannot make any statement when investigation is still going on," said a police spokesman.

Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak told the media Saturday that the disappearance of the jetliner was a deliberate act, and the authorities have refocused their investigation on its crew and passengers.

Flight MH370 went missing early last Saturday morning with 239 people on board en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, sparking a massive search involving more than a dozen nations.
