This year's Shanghai International Orchid Exhibition will be held in the Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden from March 29 through April 20, and feature nearly 1,000 kinds of orchid from 17 countries and regions.
Three batches of orchids from Thailand and Taiwan, which are valued at $237,000, had arrived as of Monday, according to Shanghai Customs.
The plants will be displayed at an area of 20,000 square meters, which is close to the size of three soccer fields.
This is the second consecutive year Shanghai has hosted an international orchid exhibition.
