A woman alleged to have stolen another person's identity card to board an airplane was sent to the police station at the Beijing Capital International Airport to be investigated, the Beijing Youth Daily reported.
On March 22, a woman surnamed Zheng was stopped at the security check because she looked different than the profile photo on her ID card. The police said that Zheng exhibited a sharp chin and double-fold eyelids but in the photo, she appeared to have a rounded face and single-fold eyelids.
When Zheng explained that the altered facial features were the result of plastic surgery, the police asked Zheng to apply for a new ID card. According to airport police, there have been three such cases this week.
