The Beijing Capital Highway Development Group has released their recommendations to drivers for avoiding traffic jams during the upcoming Qingming Festival holiday (April 5-7), when all expressway fees will be temporarily suspended, the Beijing Evening News reported.
According to the group, the roads that will suffer most from traffic congestion include the Beijing-Tibet Expressway, Beijing-Kaifeng Expressway, Beijing-Chengde Expressway and Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway. Drivers are suggested to detour to other roads, including the G106 and G101 highways, when entering and leaving Beijing.
