An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted Yongshan County of Yunnan Province, southwest China at 6:40 a.m. Beijing Time Saturday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The epicenter, with a depth of 13 km, was determined to be at 28.1 degrees north latitude and 103.6 degrees east longitude.
