A strong cold front will sweep north China, bringing dusty weather and even sand storms to some areas this week, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) forecast on Monday.
Temperatures will drop by 6 to 10 degrees Celsius in some northern regions. Strong winds will sweep through most of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the center forecast.
The cold front will also bring snow and rain to parts of Xinjiang.
The NMC also said it will rain in most parts of southern China over the next three days.
