On April 21, an app designed to help users locate the nearest public toilet was launched on the official website of the Beijing Municipal Commission of City Administration and Environment, the Beijing Youth Daily reported.
The app, available for both iOS and Android platforms, shows a map of the 20 public toilets nearest the user's location. By selecting one and then shaking the smartphone, the app will show the fastest path.
According to the administration, 2,000 more public toilets will be built before the end of 2015, and many existing toilets will be renovated.
