Two hostages were released following a knife attack in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, which led to a standoff that has left one person wounded, according to the official Weibo account of the city's police authorities late on Wednesday.
A knife-wielding man surnamed Wu held two salespeople hostages at a China Resources Vanguard supermarket near Longhua subway station. He also wounded another salesperson, a woman, according to the Weibo post.
Police overpowered the attacker after negotiating for the release of the hostages.
