A forest fire in southwest China's Yunnan Province has been put out on Friday, local authorities said.
A forest fire in Xiaguan Town in the city of Dali in Yunnan was extinguished by 10:40 a.m. Friday, the city's publicity department said.
More than 1,770 firefighters tackled the blaze, which has burned an area of about 825 mu (55 hectares) since Tuesday. Two helicopters were dispatched to fight the fire.
Investigations show that the fire was caused by the burning of a haystack.
