Tan Xiwei, a legislator in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, is being investigated for suspected serious violation of discipline and laws, the discipline watchdog of the Communist Party of China (CPC) said Saturday.
Tan is the deputy director of Chongqing Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee, the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection said in a statement on its website.
