Chongqing senior legislator sacked for graft involvement  

重庆市人大常委会副主任谭栖伟涉严重违纪被免职

Tan Xiwei, deputy director of Chongqing Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee, was removed from his post on Tuesday, said the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

Tan is suspected to be involved in serious discipline violation, said the department, adding that his removal is being handled according to procedures.
