Facebook has offered a platform for Chinese export companies to reach a global market through online campaigns, said Vaughan Smith, vice president of Facebook on Tuesday.

"Facebook has 1.3 billion users and is a great channel for Chinese enterprises that are expanding overseas. For example, we have successfully promoted a Chinese clothing and jewelry firm on Facebook," Smith said at the Global Mobile Internet Conference in Beijing.

"We also have more than thousands of applications developers working with us from China," said Smith.

Some of the Chinese companies have developed very popular games on Facebook and the website will continue the cooperation and promote more Chinese products online, Smith told the conference.

The 2014 Global Mobile Internet Conference opened in Beijing on Monday and will last for two days.

Global leaders and influencers convened to discuss how lifestyles are changing through the latest use of mobile technologies, including wearable devices, mobile Internet financing, payment solutions and mobile entertainment content.
