Shanghai Pudong and Hongqiao international airports are beefing up security to include checking for explosives on passengers and their personal belongings as well as random body checks, local media reported Wednesday. Airport security officers will also increase spot-check on passengers.
Authorities are reminding passengers to arrive at the airports early to avoid delays. The airports will increase the number of security counters if necessary, according to a report on the news website xinmin.cn.
