A county Party secretary in southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has been sacked for a suspected discipline violation, authorities said on Thursday.
Huang Yongyue, the Party chief of Yongfu county of Guilin city, was exposed online for giving cash gifts of more than a million yuan (about $160,000) to 26 county officials ahead of Spring Festival this year.
The county's discipline inspection commission secretary, Jing Cuiyan, was also sacked.
Authorities are further investigating the case.
