Two people were killed and another four injured in an explosion in a coal mine in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province on Friday, authorities said.
The blast took place at around 2 p.m. at Xintie mine in Qitaihe City. Eighty miners were working underground at the time, according to the city government.
As of 9 p.m., two people were confirmed dead, four have been injured while the others escaped safely. The injured are being treated in hospital.
Cause of the accident is under investigation.
