Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang on Thursday met with Portuguese Deputy Prime Minister Paulo Portas on boosting economic and trade ties.
Calling Portugal "an important partner of China in the European Union," Wang said China is willing to work with Portugal to deepen bilateral cooperation in areas such as economic and trade, investment, energy and finance so as to lift the comprehensive strategic partnership to a new level.
Portas said Portugal pays high attention to relations with China, and would like to make joint efforts with China to explore the potentials of cooperation in economy and trade, investment and finance.
