After winning the opening stage of the Tour of Chongming, Dutch veteran cyclist Kristen Wild continued his strong performance, winning the second stage here on Thursday.
Italian cyclist Giorgia Bronzini of team Wiggle-Honda and American Shelley Olds from Ale Cipollini were second and third apiece.
The 32-year-old Wild also won the yellow jersey with an overall time of 5 hours, 54 minutes.
"Today's tour is more difficult than yesterday. There are two riders riding ahead and I am one minute and forty seconds later than them for the most. As planned, my teammates should have surpassed them, but due to the fitness problem the task came to me at last. It's really breathtaking because I left them behind at the last 500 meters. I'll take tomorrow's game seriously and fight to keep the Yellow Jersey," said Wild, rider from Giant-Shimano team.
The Tour of Chongming Island 2014, the highest level of its kind in Asia, consists of three stages and will end on May 16.
