Beijing will open its first privately owned round-the-clock bookstore in late June, the Beijing Youth Daily reported.
Located in the Publishing Creative Industry Park near Deshengmen in Dongcheng district, the bookstore named Boshuwu will cover 1,200 square meters.
The Beijing Genuine and Profound Culture Media Company has invested more than 5 million yuan ($825,000) in the project. The bookstore will be built at a cultural complex that also includes a cafe, studio theater, digital reading area and children's reading area.
Sanlian Taofen Bookstore, run by the State-owned SDX Joint Publishing Company and located in Dongcheng district, became the capital's first 24-hour bookstore when it opened in April.
