The death toll from a coal mine accident in northwest China's Shaanxi province rose to 13 as the body of the last miner was found on Tuesday, the search and rescue headquarters said.
Rescuers retrieved the last body at 3:30 pm from a coal mine in Yulin city where a pipeline collapse trapped 11 workers last Wednesday.
The coal mine, owned by China National Coal Group Corp., was still under construction.
Thirty-seven workers were in the shaft when a major cement pipeline detached. Of the 26 people who were brought out shortly after the accident, two were confirmed dead and 16 were taken to hospital, including six with serious injuries.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated.
