Beijing traffic management chief probed

Song Jianguo, former head of the Beijing Traffic Management Bureau, is under investigation on suspicion of serious violations of discipline, the municipal discipline inspection commission announced on Tuesday.

Earlier media reports linked the investigation of Song with his irregularities in the city's car license lottery. However, no such information was mentioned by officials with the discipline inspection commission.
