Firefighters are clearing the fireground after a forest fire was extinguished on Tuesday in southwest China's Yunnan province, local authorities said on Wednesday.
Three firefighters were killed as about 3,900 put out the fire, which broke out on Saturday afternoon in Anning city and burned an area of 4,600 mu (306 hectares), said the forest fire department in Kunming.
Another 25 firefighters and local residents were injured and are receiving treatment in a local hospital.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is under way.
