Malaysia issued a first-day cover to mark the 40thanniversary of the China-Malaysia diplomatic relations recently.
A limited amount of 35,000 single pieces and 2,000 sets of the first-day cover were sold, with each buyer limited to buy five sets.
Many stamp collectors began queuing in front of the headquarters of the postal company before dawn for their collection.
"I have been a big fan of stamps since 12. It has been more than 50 years. My friends call me 'professional stamp collector'," said the first person who bought the cover.
Commemorative stamp is significant and it witnesses the history, he said, but adding he prefers the traditional stamps rather than covers with stamps printed on the envelopes.
