China's Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) vowed on Friday to raise its capacity in dealing with emergencies and become more efficient in cracking down on violence and terrorism.
Participants attending an SPP meeting agreed to deal a blow to the the violence and terrorist activities of separatists at home and abroad by stopping their infiltration, sabotage and unlawful gatherings.
The SPP will provide more guidance to lower-level prosecuting bodies in dealing with violent crimes and terrorism, actively safeguard social security and resolve social conflicts, according to a statement released after the meeting.
The SPP will protect the legitimate interests of people of all ethnic backgrounds, properly handling ethnic and religious issues when enforcing the law, said the statement.
