Chinese courts are being urged to use the Internet and other technologies to ease case filing procedures, said the Supreme People's Court (SPC) on Wednesday.
Courts are urged to open online channels and hotlines for the public to file cases, said a SPC statement.
They should also provide a door-to-door service for people who have difficulty in moving around, such as the disabled, patients and senior citizens, the statement added.
Video calling services should be installed in courts so that the public can submit petitions.
The SPC also issued instructions for local courts to improve transparency during their hearings and adopt effective measures to implement verdicts.
