Animation performing season to be staged

From Pleasant Goat to Grey Wolf, from Black Cat Sergeant to Dorothy… these household characters from both home and abroad will be able to be seen during performances by the Beijing Performances & Arts Group in August, according to a press conference held in Beijing on Wednesday.

A total of 12 live-action plays featuring animated characters from The Fox, Black Cat Sergeant and the Wizard of Oz will be staged at four Beijing theaters: The Theater of the Cultural Palace of Nationalities, the China Puppet Theater, the Forbidden City Concert Hall and the Tiandi Theater as part of the Cute Animation Pocket Season being held during the five weekends of August.

Kang Wei, president of the Beijing Performances & Arts Group, said that they want to provide a platform so kids can enjoy their summer holiday. Besides performances, off-stage activities will also open to children.
