Qinhuangdao Internatl Marathon to kick off on Aug 31

The 2014 Qinhuangdao International Marathon will kick off in Qinhuangdao city, north China'a Hebei province on August 31, local official sources said on Sunday.

A total of 15,000 runners, including 30 foreign and Chinese elite marathon athletes will participate in the race.

The race features three events of marathon, half marathon and 5km marathon.

The total prize is 210,000 US dollars. The winner of the men's and women's categories will receive a prize of 40,000 dollars.
