Financial cooperation is the top priority in China-Britain ties, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said during his official visit to Britain. [Special coverage]
Li attended a welcoming banquet at London's Natural History Museum on Tuesday where he said agreements signed between the two countries represented quality and in-depth investment rather than simple trading relations. The cooperation will benefit the whole world.
China Construction Bank has been authorized to be the clearing bank for RMB business in London and Li said it can not only help London consolidate and develop its status as an international financial center, but also promote liberalization and facilitation of China's foreign investment and trade.
