Drug gang busted in central China

A drug gang operating across several provinces was busted by police in central China's Hubei province, according to a press conference held Wednesday.

Police in Jingmen city said at the conference that they have detained 18 suspects with more than 10 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and seized one gun .

A woman named Yu frequently brought drug traffickers from Yunnan province to Jingmen and neighboring regions at the end of last year and the police began to monitor their movements.

In early May, the gang transported more than 60,000 crystal meth pills from Yunnan to Jingmen. The police seized them at the scene of the deal, cutting the biggest drug-trafficking channel to the city.
