Road accident kills 5 in E China

Five people were killed in a road accident in the city of Weihai in east China's Shandong province early on Thursday morning.

The accident occurred around 1:20am when a taxi crashed into a car. Three people in the taxi died at the scene, and two other passengers died in hospital, according to Weihai's public security bureau.

The car's driver was injured.

Investigation into the cause of the accident is under way.
