The 2014 Chongqing Changshou Lake International Triathlon on Sunday attracted 591 athletes from 13 countries abroad and 25 Chinese provinces and cities — the most competitors in its six-year history.
Guillaume Lecallier from the Shanghai Triathlon Club won the men's race, with the women's title going to Yahue Nakahara from the Luzhou Medical College Triathlon Team.
Organized by the State General Administration of Sports, the China Triathlon Association and the Chongqing Sports Bureau, the competition is approved by the International Triathlon Union as an intercontinental triathlon. The race covered 51.5 kilometers, consisting of 1.5 km of swimming, 40 km of cycling and 10 km of running.
