Award-winning actress Zhang Ziyi and blockbuster director John Woo are inviting the public to make a film with them by helping to launch a user-generated movie project in Beijing.

And when the last scenes are edited, it will also need a title, poster and soundtrack. Everyone can participate.

After a successful run in The Netherlands, Entertainment Experience is taking off in the largest country in the world. Zhang is the project's image ambassador.

"The project is all about filmmaking. I think it's a good platform to discover more talents. It's also a great opportunity for people to get to know every aspect of filmmaking," Zhang said.

Renowned Hollywood director John Woo also announced his participation in the Emmy Award winning cross media project. He will be directing the user-generated movie, which is slated for the big screen in 2015.

"I hope more young people can participate in the show, and I'd love to see some young talented filmmakers emerge from the platform," Woo said.

Woo will hand-pick 10 actors for the movie from various auditions in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and more. The public can follow behind the scenes with a daily show to be aired on the Chinese Heilongjiang Satellite TV.
