A man who brought his wife to court in an attempt to get back the "red envelop" containing 28,000 yuan ($4,483) that he gave to her at their wedding, has been turned down by Fangshan district court, the Beijing Youth Daily reported.
The man surnamed Wang and his wife surnamed Li were married in August 2013 when Wang gave Li the red envelop to represent his true love.
However, Wang says he is unable to feel the happiness in the marriage as Li suffers from bad moods and has a bad temper.
The court also rejected Wang's appeal for divorce.
