Police in east China's Zhejiang province have identified a 34-year-old man as the suspect behind a bus fire that injured 30 people, including the arsonist himself, on Saturday.
The suspect, Bao Laixu from the northwestern province of Gansu, has been in Zhejiang province in recent years without permanent settlement, according to the Public Security Bureau of Hangzhou City.
He visited Hangzhou on Saturday and got on a bus packed with tourists near the Lingyin Temple. He began pouring flammable liquid at 5:03 p.m. and set the bus on fire, police said.
Bao is among the severely injured who are being treated in hospital. His motive is still unclear.
