An art exhibition featuring Chinese calligraphy, paintings and contemporary works is on show at the Louvre Museum. The show entitled "Chinese Dream" is part of activities celebrating the 50 year anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and France.
270 art works, created by Chinese both at home and overseas, are on display at the Louvre's Carrousel Hall. Organizers hope the works will serve as a bridge for cultural exchange between the two peoples.
Traditional ink brush paintings, which are a staple of traditional Chinese fine art, are featured dominantly here, with one piece portraying French writer Victor Hugo. It was created by Chinese artist Wu Tong, who hopes works like this will help local viewers better connect with Chinese art.
