52 companies among the world's top 500 have set up headquarters in Beijing, making it the city with the most headquarters, according to Forbes.
Concentration of headquarters has become an important contributor to Beijing's economic development, providing 25 percent of job opportunities and contributing 60 percent of the city's revenues and taxes. Beijing will continue to strengthen its position as the 'headquarters' city and encourage multinational corporations to set up headquarters and centers for research, purchasing, finance, etc here by improving the business environment.
Following Beijing, Tokyo, Paris, New York and London make up the rest of the list of the top five cities with the most headquarters of the world's top 500 companies.
