Chinese naval taskforce participates in 6 drill subjects of RIMPAC 2014

The 175.1 task fleet, to which the Chinese naval taskforce participating in the RIMPAC 2014 multinational military exercise was assigned, carried out six drill subjects including formation sailing, rescuing drowning people, inspecting suspected merchant ships, maritime replenishment and maneuvering successively on July 12, 2014, local time.

It is learnt that after completing the drills on July 12, Chinese vessels "Haikou", "Yueyang" and USS Port Royal will navigate toward the US Pacific Missile Range Facility to join other participating vessels and participate in the main artillery shooting contest the next day.

Meanwhile, the Chinese supply ship "Qiandaohu", Brunei navy's "KBD Darulaman" and "KDB Darussalam", Mexican navy's "Revolution" and US coast guard cutter "Waesche" will continue to carry out other drill subjects.
