The 14th China Youth Robot Competition, sponsored by the China Association for Science and Technology and Xinjiang's government, was held from July 15 to 20 at the Xinjiang Normal University, in Urumqi, capital of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. Over 200 representative teams with more than 600 competitors from across the country were in attendance.
The contest is divided into five competitions: comprehensive robot skills, robot creativity, robot soccer, the FLL Robotics Engineering Challenge and the VEX Robotics Engineering Challenge. The winners will have the opportunity to represent China at large international competitions.
The China Youth Robot Competition has been held successfully 13 times since 2001, with the goal of encouraging youth robot lovers to communicate and cooperate in the fields of electronic information, high-tech automation and robotics, as well as enhance their creativity and practical skills.
